The start of the January - April 2021 HR Amigos 'Order of Merit' was delayed by a month due to the Covid-19 restrictions but we managed to complete 8 qualifying games.  The travel restrictions again meant that the number of players remained lower than previous years but, despite that, we still had 61 different players over those 8 games, with 16 people playing in 7/8 games and 21 managing at least 5 qualifying games.   

This Order of Merit  went down to the wire with two players looking to be well ahead with one game to go. We arranged a 'head to head' situation by placing David Henshall-Brown & Alastair Sporne in the same team for that game and, ironically, both players scored the same 32 points. Rudy Ceusters was clearly determined to have his say by making a late push and delivering an excellent 37 points in that last game to pinch 3rd place.

Our congratulations go to David Henshall-Brown,  who managed to hold onto his 2 shot lead and takes the trophy, becoming the 10th different player to win the Amigos 'Order of Merit' trophy. No-one has won the trophy more than once. Alastair Sporne held onto the second place, pipping Rudy by 1 point.

I'm sure all three players were quite glad to see that Dave Maskens had only managed to complete 3 qualifying games in this series as he had 2 scores in the 40's.

The plaudits for best individual round scored during this 3-month window were shared by Gary McAlpine, Dave Maskens & Kersten Rammeloo who all recorded 43 point rounds. We saw a total of 9 scores in the 40's from 8 different players.

First Place: David Henshall-Brown with 178 pts. 
Second Place: Alastair Sporne with 176 pts.   
Third Place: Rudy Ceusters with 175 pts.
