The May - August 2018 HR Amigos 'Order of Merit' consisted of 14 qualifying games with zero Thursday matches being excluded from the OOM results. We continued the practice of only counting the first 8 matches played by any individual from which their best 5 scores were calculated. This seems to be working very well with 12 people achieving the 8 game maximum. ​ The second of this years triannual Order of Merit looked like it would be a 'runaway victory' for Gordon Hutchinson, however, that was not the case. What was not obvious from the weekly update was the fact that Anne-Li Norberg, with 3 weeks to go, was well placed to catch Gordon, but 2 bad rounds made it a 'big ask'. Despite an excellent 34 points in Game 14 it was only good enough to take 2nd place, leaving Gordon on top spot with 177 points. Brian Stobbs will be rueing the fact that he couldn't have got his 37 points from Game 14 earlier in the month as that was his 13th game and therefore didn't count to his total. ​ Top 3 Scores: First Place: Gordon Hutchinson with 177 points Second Place: Ann-Li Norberg with 173 points Third Place: Brian Stobbs with 170 points ​ Hearty congratulations go to Gordon Hutchinson on a great win and an honourable mention should also go to Malcolm Weaver (back in 30th place) with a threatening 79 points from just 2 matches. Malcolm is expected to be pending longer in Spain in the coming months so everyone better watch out.
